Koochiching County Warrant Records Koochiching County Warrant Records

This page explains what we can help with and where official Koochiching County warrant questions belong. Most requests belong with the District Court or the sheriff's office rather than with us. The routing below sends each need to the office that actually holds the record, with the address and phone number for each one.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, reach the court or the sheriff's office directly.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Here is where the questions people ask most about Koochiching County warrants should go:

  • Whether a warrant exists: search the District Court case in Minnesota Court Records Online, then call Court Administration to confirm the current warrant status
  • A bench warrant for a missed court date: contact the court that set the case, because that court issued the order and keeps the file
  • Resolving or clearing a warrant: talk with a licensed Minnesota attorney and the issuing court about a recall, a surrender, a new court date, or bond
  • An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the court sets the charge and the release terms, and authorized officers serve the warrant

Court Administration is the court-side contact for case status, hearing dates, copies, and a pending warrant flag. The office sits at the Koochiching County Courthouse, 715 4th Street, International Falls, MN 56649, and the phone is 218-283-1160. Weekday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Court Administrator Lisa Havluck keeps that office.

The sheriff's office is the county law-enforcement channel. Sheriff Perryn Hedlund leads the Koochiching County Sheriff's Office at the Law Enforcement Center, 715 4th Street, International Falls, MN 56649, and the non-emergency line is 218-283-4416. That same number reaches jail and dispatch questions, and the Information Disclosure Request form is the written route to a releasable sheriff record.

For city police records, ask the city that holds them. The sheriff's disclosure form states that its reports do not include International Falls Police Department or State Patrol records, so a city question sent to the county comes back incomplete.
